ALE contracted for the transport, shifting, and load-out of multi-sized modules, Indiana.
Whiting Refinery, Indiana, has undergone a modernisation project that will increase its gasoline production by 1.7 million gallons a day. The project included the fabrication of more than 90 modules, pipe racks and vessels of varying size and weight.
ALE won the contract for the transport, shifting and load-out of these structures including the jacking and weighing of the heaviest piece.
The pieces, varying in weight from 100 – 700te, were transported by 52 axle-lines of SPMT from AG&P’s yard, Batangas City, Philippines, to its final destination in Indiana.
A full engineering study was prepared on each movement as required by the client, including the study of moving the pressurized vessels safely without using any bolster.
Each operation was completed successfully and safely to the complete satisfaction of the client.
