Site handing and installation of generators, South Africa

ALE completed the site handling & installation of the first 360te Stator Generator for the Medupi Power Station.  

The operation required the generator to be loaded with a four point lifting system, transported by SPMTs, offloaded with a four point lifting system and positioned with a skidding system from the laydown yard to the turbine hall. 

ALE designed, manufactured and supplied the gantry system with a lifting capacity of 500te. This Gantry System will be used for the remaining Stator Generator Installations.
