Strand jack assistance for storm barrier, the Netherlands

ALE was contracted to assist with the renovation of the hydraulic cylinders of the Oosterschelde storm barrier. 

ALE pre-assembled and function tested the required strand jacks including hydraulics and control system in their premises in Breda. The eight 70te strand jacks were installed with four strand jacks on each side.

The strand jacks were used to release the suspended load in the cylinders, so that all cylinders could be removed, disassembled and overhauled.
