Transportation of two container cranes, Belgium

ALE has completed the transportation of two container cranes at quay 730 in Antwerp, Belgium.

The first container crane, weighing 1,100te was transported over 800 metres from its position at the quayside to a demolition area using 20 axle lines of SPMT.

The second container crane was also transported using 20 axle lines of SPMT, however was lifted using two beams with custom made saddles. This 1,065te piece was transported over 200 metres and positioned ready for refurbishment.
