Load-in of portainer cranes, Indonesia

 Overview

ALE has completed the load-in of four portainer cranes, weighing 1,200t each, at a shipyard on Batam Island in Indonesia.

 

Services Required

ALE utilised up to 80 axle lines of SPMT, four 12m long dragline boards and four 2.4m long steel mats, which were used as transportation beams.

The portainer crane was self-loaded by SPMTs and transported along with the grillage supports from the vessel.

All four portainer cranes were successfully discharged and delivered to the designated laydown area, approximately 200m from the cranes’ load-in area.
