Overview

ALE has successfully dissembled a stacker reclaimer at Abbot Point Coal Terminal in Queensland, Australia.

 

Services Required

ALE provided two cranes, an LTM1220 and an LR1280, in order to carry out the lifting operations required.

The disassembly was undertaken in three main lifts, one for the bucket wheel boom and another for the slew deck.

The bucket wheel boom, weighing 115t, was completed in a dual lift using both the LTM1220 and the LR1280 cranes. The slew deck, weighing 140.5t was completed in a single lift using the LR1280, with a total lifting load (incl rig and hook) of 148.5t.

The final lift involved lifting the portal, weighing 156t and a total expected lifting load (including rig & hook) of 167t.
