Overview

ALE has been shortlisted as a finalist for the Golden Bridge Award, a joint initiative between the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Great Britain (BLCC) and the British Chamber of Commerce | EU & Belgium.

The judging panel was impressed with ALE’s ingenuity in the Belgian market and ALE’s success whilst leading a specifically-created joint venture company with two Belgian companies. This joint venture was responsible to manage the trans-shipment operations, Modular Intermediate Storage Yard (MISY), of a large modular project. ALE’s scope on the project includes the load-in of modules shipped from Asian fabrication yards, the jack-down and storage of the modules at the Port of Zeebrugge in Belgium, and the load-out of the modules for onward shipment to Russia.

The awards, now in their 21st year, are presented annually to the most successful Belgian, Luxembourg, and UK companies exporting to or trading in both markets, in either the service or manufacturing sectors.

The awards ceremony will take place on 22nd November in Brussels.
