ALE was recognised with the ‘Excellence in Safety Performance’ award for the work performed for the Sakhalin-1 project on Sakhalin Island, Russia.

The three-year project involved the offloading, transportation and installation of process and drilling modules, with weights of up to nearly 3,000t.

Tommy Quik, who managed the project for ALE, said: “We are really proud to be recognised for our hard work and win this award. This project was particularly challenging, in consideration of remote environment, limited resources and demanding weather conditions. I want to thank everyone who has been involved in the project and made it possible to achieve this successful completion.”
