Route Survey Tool crowned best safety innovation at ESTA Awards
ALE has won an ESTA (European Association of Abnormal Road Transport and Mobile Cranes) Award for best safety innovation of the year.
ALE received the Safety Award for the Route Survey Tool, a computerised system that automatically logs accurate route descriptions on digital maps. The tool attaches to the roof of a car, measuring the route and minimising the need to step out of the vehicle. The Route Survey Tool also alerts drivers to any points of interest on the route so they can prepare in advance.
This now takes ALE’s total number of ESTA Award wins to eleven.
ALE’s Route Survey Tool was shortlisted in the category along with three other entries. It was reviewed by a panel of judges who considered numerous criteria, including how ALE overcame the challenges involved with designing the Route Survey Tool, which is revolutionising how route surveys are carried out in the industry.
The win was announced at Hilton Charles De Gaulle, in Paris, during the ceremony of the ESTA Awards of Excellence. The esteemed annual awards celebrate the achievements of those in the heavy haulage, transportation and lifting industry.
