Crane mobilisation, rigging, derigging and demobilisation in Karabatan, Kazakhstan

Overview

ALE’s scope involved the mobilization, rigging, derigging and demobilization of the 750t crawler crane in Karabatan.

Services Required

ALE provided an operator to assemble and operate the crane and the lifting arrangement was prepared in collaboration with ALE’s engineering department in the Middle East

Due to simple configuration of the crane, the Operator arrived just to perform the actual lift, while assembly was dedicated to local team. The Operator provided remote support / guidance for rigging of the crane what was more than sufficient to safely rig the crane.

Mobilisation took eight days to complete. After that load test was performed with 70t on the hook, the crane was boomed down until the load limiter stopped the whole operation. All systems were proven to work well and that the steel structure of the crane was strong enough to withstand the load rated in the capacity chart.

After a successful lift, the crane was left onsite for the as per the client’s request. The crane was derigged in four days.
