Inland transportation of six engines, Venezuela

ALE has successfully transported six 100MW power plant engines to the Santa Ines Refinery Development in Barinas State, Venezuela. This was Phase III of the transportation project.

Services Required

The engines were loaded from the storage area onto a girder frame trailer, fabricated by ALE, using a gantry system composed of two 200t strand jack units HLS2000.

Phase III consisted of the inland transportation of six engines using the girder frame trailer and 40 axle lines of conventional trailers with three prime movers to transport the engines from the temporary storage area to the refinery.

During the 198km route, ALE crossed bridges, travelled through small towns and Barinas city streets, before arriving at the refinery. It took three days for each engine to be transported.
