Lifting of a jacket, Mexico

Overview

ALE has successfully performed the extension of the jacket, XANAB-B, at Operadora CICSA yard in Pueblo Viejo, Veracruz, Mexico.

Services Required

ALE carried out the extension project in three lifting stages. Firstly, the upper section of the jacket, weighing 280t, was disassembled using a crawler crane. The middle section used to increase the overall structure, weighing 100t, was then lifted. Once it was located in position, the upper section was lifted back onto the jacket structure.

It took four days for the crane assembly and each lift took one day. The overall project was completed on time and to the client’s schedule.
