Pipe rack transportation from Sicim Base to Karabatan, Kazakhstan
ALE has transported five pipe racks from the Sicim fabrication yard to Karabatan plant in Kazakhstan.
ALE provided the engineering, stability and lashing calculations, transport arrangement, route analysis and designed the transportation beams.
ALE received the five pipe racks from the hook of the crane and delivered the cargo to site using 12 axle lines of conventional trailers.
As the cargo had such a high Centre of Gravity and there was limited space on the route, ALE chose a 4 file configuration of the trailers. This resulted in additional operator training beforehand and real-time monitoring of the trailer levels on slopes during the move.
ALE completed the project safely and on schedule, with the client praising the professionalism of the ALE team as well as the quick mobilisation of equipment and personnel.
