Receiving and transportation of 12 gas components, Iraq

ALE has successfully received and transported 12 gas components from Umm Qasr Port to a new degassing station in Rafidiyah Zubair, Iraq.

Services Required

The 12 sections comprised of six radiant sections, weighing between 92.2t – 130.8t, and 6 convection sections weighing between 85 – 96t.

As some of the radiant sections measured over 10m high, it meant that multiple overhead power lines were de-energized and cut in advance. A total of 53 powerlines had to be shut down, most of which had to be disconnected/re-connected. The convoy was transported using conventional trailers.

Once all sections were on site, ALE offloaded all 12 items to the ground using a 400t and a 250t capacity mobile crane
