Skidding of four STS cranes at Port of Manzanillo, Mexico

Overview:

ALE was contracted to skid four STS cranes, weighing 1,500t each, at Conteco Port in Manzanillo city, Mexico.

 

Services Required:

The cargo ship arrived from China with the cranes pre-assembled over the provisional rails in order to be unloaded by the skidding systems SS500 and SS300, with a vertical capacity of 2,200t. The cranes, weighing 1,500t each, were skidded from their original transport position to the operating area using four jacking units of 64t capacity each. The total skidding operation was 38m in length.
