Transportation of 12 modules in Scotland, UK

Overview

ALE has transported 12 modules, weighing up to 40t each, from Torness jetty to the job site in Dunbar in Scotland, UK.

 

Services Required

The modules range in dimensions and weigh. The largest measured up to 26m long and 6.5m in diameter, and weighed up to 40t.

The modules were received at the Ro-Ro jetty in Dunbar, where ALE performed a Ro-Ro operation.

ALE then transported the modules to an ‘energy from waste’ site in Dunbar using two different configurations of conventional trailers, 10 axle lines in a configuration of 4 space 6 and 8 axle lines in a configuration of 4 spacer 4.

Once on site, they were offloaded using two cranes.
