Transportation of a bullet in Gijón, Spain

Overview:

ALE has carried out the transportation of a bullet, weighing 1,013t, at the Duro Felguera facilities located in Gijón, Spain. This was carried out alongside the movement and adjustment of 2/3 of a bullet (approx.), weighing 690t, to be assembled with the fixed part.

 

Services Required:

The transportation of the bullet, measuring 9,806cm x 1,194cm x 1,258cm and weighing 1,013t, was performed using 24 axle lines of SPMT.  Each of the platforms was placed under the saddle, where the equipment was loaded for transportation.  The distance between saddles was 74.6m.

The transportation and adjustment of the incomplete bullet, measuring 6,552cm x 1,194cm x 1,258cm and weighing 690t, was configured and synchronised as per the transportation of the main bullet. However, the distance between the saddles was different and the longitudinal separation between trailers was 4,377cm.

The transportation was completed with self-unloading on supports once the adjustment of both parts was performed.

Resumen:

ALE ha realizado el transporte de un  bullet de 1013t, en las instalaciones de Duro Felguera en Gijón, España. Así mismo  se llevó a cabo el movimiento y ajuste de aproximadamente 2/3 de un bullet para ensamblar con la parte fija

 

Servicios requeridos:

Para el transporte del equipo completo, de dimensiones 98060 x 11935 x12575 mm y 1013 toneladas de peso,  se han usado 2 plataformas de transporte  SPMT con una configuración 4×12 líneas. Cada una de las plataformas se coloca bajo las cunas donde se toma carga para proceder al transporte del equipo. La distancia entre cunas es de 74.6 metros. En el caso del traslado y ajuste del bullet incompleto, de dimensiones 65,522 x 11,935 x 12,575 mm y 690t de peso, las configuraciones y sincronización de las plataformas se realiza igual que en el caso anterior. La  distancia  a la que se ubican las cunas es distinta, con lo que la separación longitudinal de los carros, en este caso, es de 43.768m. El transporte finalizó con la autodescarga sobre apoyos una vez realizado el ajuste con la parte a unir.
