Transportation of two 420t ACC modules, Australia


ALE has transported two Air Cooled Condenser (ACC) modules, weighing 420t each and measuring 15m wide x 19m high x 50m long form the Port of Port Hedland to the South Hedland Power station.


Services Required

ALE were contracted to receive the two loads under ships hook then transport  them 30km overnight to their final destination. ALE started to transport the loads after 10pm under a rolling full road closure using 28 axle lines of conventional trailers in a 3 file configuration with three prime movers.

Each module was delivered safely to site in eight hours. Once on site, the modules were moved in to their final position and stooled off ready for installation.
