ALE achievements shortlisted for the first Heavy Lift Awards

ALE has been shortlisted for three heavylifting industry awards as part of the new Heavy Lift Awards for this year.

ALE is nominated in three categories: Excellence in Engineering for their innovative installation of the Matagarup Bridge in Australia; Overland Transport Provider of the Year for the record-breaking transportation of 13 wind turbines in Thailand; and the Safety award, demonstrating ALE’s ongoing commitment to continuous safety improvements, which is reflected across both equipment and the growing expertise of their teams.

The Heavy Lift Awards have been designed to recognise the success of both individuals and companies in the heavylifting sector, who are helping to shape the industry. Heavy Lift & Project Forwarding International (HLPFI), one of the leading publications that reports on the heavylifting, breakbulk and project cargo sectors, launched the new awards to showcase the achievements that are moving the industry forward.

David Kershaw, Editor at HLPFI, said:

“Over the past ten years, the global economic crisis, the soaring highs and crashing lows of the oil and gas sector, emerging industries and economies, compliance, technology – amongst many other factors – have played their part in moulding the heavy lift shipping and project logistics sector we see today. One thing has become strikingly apparent – the specialised transportation sector, in the face of adversity, has proven itself to be resilient, versatile and innovative. The time has come to honour those achievements.”

The winners will be announced at a ceremony that will be held in Antwerp, Belgium, on 15th October 2019.
